Destination: Tampa. Target: Chris Jericho

This Friday, I will have the honor of meeting one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, Chris Jericho. He will be doing a book signing in Tampa Florida for his new book: Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps.

Dashi is set to join me, as well as two awesome people we met at ShadoCon this year, Jennifer and Gregory. It’s gonna be a damn-fun time, so if you are a wrestling fan in the Tampa area, try to make it by the Barnes and Nobles on Carrollwood. The signing starts at 7, but wristbands for the event will be handed out at 2. Check out This Link for more info!

I plan on getting him to sign the title page, crossing off “Steps” with “armbars”, but we’ll see!

Oh, and as a teaser…3 anirage members will be in tampa. And there may be a video camera involved. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Kerby and I are also planning on going to MegaCon next month! That’s right, aniRAGE is coming back to O-Town! We hope to see all of our awesome friends and fans there. We’ll be taking pictures, hanging out, maybe even shooting a video or two! And, if you are really lucky, you might even spot me walking around with my electric guitar! (Note: I have no idea how to play, so if your ears start bleeding, I apologize ahead of time).

Of course, a couple weeks after that is FreeCon 2001 in Tallahassee. aniRAGE will be there with our friends AnimeBelle for some fun games, some Whose Line awesomeness, and all the great stuff you’ve come to love and expect from aniRAGE. So we definitely hope to see all of you there. And why not, it’s FREE(con)!

Venture the Nexis and Join the League!

So, my brother-in-law has been stuck on a game for the past month or so and I finally decided to bite when told I should join in. So I went over to LeageOfLegends.com and decided to download the game “League of Legends” to my pc. To start off, L.O.L. is a real-time strategy game, produced by the creators of the War Craft 3 downloadable game “Defenders of the ancients (or Dota for short). Having played Dota, I figured that this one would be pretty good and I haven’t been dissappointed yet!

Game play works much the same as it does in Dota. The game sets you up as a “Summoner” and you must command your “Champion” to go forth and destroy your enemy’s “Nexis” or command crystal that is found in the heart of their base. The game provides you with ground forces that go ahead of your champion to fight on your behalf and has an rpg element with a leveling system and a weapons/armor purchasing system. And, like Dota, weapons and armor purchased can be combined to form stronger items through recipes provided (think synthesis, if you will). The game is very fun and addicting (much like the predecessor that came before it), but one interesting difference from Dota is the ability to rack up points or to use cash to purchase new character skins from the games website. And game play is fast and furious when played with others over the net, with struggles from teams to go forth and destroy their enemy and their Nexis to win the game!

So, in conclusion, I would like to say that if you haven’t had a chance to play this game yet, then you should TOTALLY give it a shot. It’s free to play, doesn’t take alot of space, and system requirements aren’t high to run. Now then, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to summon me up a sandwich. Until next time, I hope you all enjoy!

The “Way of the sword” and other Samurai stuff

Hey guys! Sorry for having not been around lately… Been kinda caught up in a new game I’ve gotten involved in. It’s not for the Pc or Console systems. Rather, it’s a actual battle sport called “Way of the Sword” or W.o.t.S. for short. I’m sure alot of you have heard of these “Battle sports” type games and my fiancee got me sucked into the fray which I’ve found to be very fun! We meet up on Sundays to practice and battle one another and it plays a little out like a Historical Roleplaying game. Unlike Larp, though, there is no “fireballs” or Lightning bolts” to cast, but there is plenty of combat and a interesting merit’s sytem in place. Now, for anyone that is interested and lives in an area where W.o.t.S. happens to meet, open invitations are granted and, being hosted by a non-profit organization, is free to join with a donation of $20.00’s to help fund camp-outs, clan flags, and the likes. You can check them out at their facebook page:

Also, been watching the anime re-make of a classic Akira Kurosawa. Samurai 7 is a REALLY amazing series that I highly recommend to everyone! Well, for now, that’s all I got! Catch you all again soon!

SLOTW – Reality and video games augmented into one big awesome pile!

Growing up, I always wondered what it would be like if certain event happened in real life, what kinds of experiences would I have?  Apparently, I wasn’t the only one who stepped through the portal to the other dimension…

Real life and video games.  It’s more hand in hand than you think.  Whether it’s a silly discussion on what might happen, to full blown scenarios LARPed out to perfection, we’ve been using our imagination to it’s fullest when it comes to realizing our fantasies and dreams.  This week on SLOTW, we’re gonna show you some of the more fun and imaginative ways we incorporate video games into fun entertainment for all!

Real life situation, old school thought processes. – So you’ve come across a dreaded Los Angeles street crossing.  You don’t have much time, and the environment is treacherous.  Luckily, there’s a guide there to help you out in the most dire of straits!  But be sure to pick the right choice, or you may not survive!

as imaginative as it is technical, what’s better than playing video games on a big tv screen?  Well shit, why not play games on an office building?!?

Sure office building are awesome, it doesn’t feel right unless you’re right smack dab in the middle of the action yourself, racing against danger or unseen opponents.  Or on a mission to rid the playing field of mines!

However, it’s not just the homebrew video fans that make the fun stuff either!  Sometimes big name business have nerd fantasies of their own.  Probably the biggest nerdgasm in the video game world came with an april fools trailer of epic proportions in 2009.

And last but not least, we leave you with this bit of French goodness.  Seriously, makes me want to own a go-cart!
