Continue reading »]]> These past few months have been super busy for aniRAGE, and we are happy to say that some great new shows have come out of it. At Holiday Matsuri and Khaotic Kon we were able to try out some new stuff, and we are happy to report that some are going to be intering our repetoire!

I’ll start off with the first one, our 18+ Whose Line is it aniRAGE? Uncensored! Often times we get suggestions and ideas from the audiance that we have to say no to, for one reason or another. Most aniRAGE shows are going to be PG to PG-13, depending on what the con demands. But in Whose Line is it aniRAGE? Uncensored! we’re tossing all that out the window! Our first three shows were great, and we hope to be able to bring this new variation of our popular show to you again and again!

Next up is aniRAGE Remembers. This idea was birthed after Kirby and I spent almost an entire afternoon watching old saturday morning cartoon theme songs and pre-commercial spots. We quickly realized that we could make a panel out of this, so at Holiday Matsuri we busted out the seasonal and timley “aniRAGE Remembers: Holiday Specials”. It was a great time, with everyone coming together and reminiscing about the childhood specials that with us through the ages, for good reasons OR bad! At Khaotic Kon we moved on to Saturday Morning Cartoons, and we had a great time talking about ABC, USA, Fox, and more. We’re happy to say that this will be a panel we keep going with, so stay tuned for when it shows up next!

At Khaotic Kon, we finally incorporated a big guilty pleasure of most of aniRAGE…Wrestling! The aniRAGE Wrestle Rumble was a smashing success. Not only did I get to show off some of my replica wrestling belts, but we got to hear some awesome stories from the crowd about how they got into wrestling, who their favorite wrestler of “all the times” was, and some of our favorite entrance music. We hope to bring this back soon!

Next up, at Holiday Matsuri, Dashi and I unleashed our Minecraft panel. We went over some fun building tips, how to work with redstone, and how to get inspiration for different building projects. We also went over a few different mods for the game, including the much loved Technic Pack. We have some big plans for this panel in the future, so keep an eye out for it.

And finally, we had the aniRAGE Trivia Challenge. What started off as a fun little hallway experiment at one con turned into a full-blown panel, where contestants competed for fabulous prizes and more. We had a great showing, and we are fast at work brainstorming some new gameshow ideas for everyone to enjoy. So definitely be on the look out for those!

Continue reading »]]> After months of painstaking procrastination hard work, I, your Lord and Master, Zeke, have gotten the aniRAGE.com servers back up and working.  Things are still a bit shaky, but I’ll be trying my hardest not to let them go down for a couple months again.

What have we been up to in that time? Lots and lots of preparation for Khaotic Kon!  That’s right, this past weekend was yet another brand new con to the Florida con scene, and aniRAGE was there to kick it off in style!  We had three amazing panels, our aniRAGE Wrestle Rumble, aniRAGE Remembers: Saturday Morning Cartoons, and our marquee event, Whose Line is it aniRAGE!  We were very pleased with the turn out, and we thank everyone who came by to see us perform. 

The next few months will be light as far as cons go, but stay tuned for more great pictures, awesome videos, and compelling articles right here on aniRAGE.com!  We’re back, baby, and if I have any say in it, we won’t be going down any time soon!

My first find of Shadocon 2011 was this beautiful Black Cat. Not only was she my first photo, but she was also the first cosplayer EVER to give me their own card in return! She was very nice and made a perfect Black Cat. Hope everyone enjoys this Spotlight Photo!

Continue reading »]]> Wow has it been a long time guys! Been a very busy few months for us here at aniRAGE.com! We’ve gone to 3 cons in 3 months and don’t forget the holidays on top of that! We’ve gone to EXPcon, Shadocon, and Holiday Matsuri and all 3 were a blast! We got tons of pics from all 3 cons which (due to server issues) are being posted to the aniRAGE Facebook page. So check it out when you can.

So now to keep you entertained for a bit, I present to you a long overdue Spotlight Photo! This time it’s Kim Possible and Ron Stoppable! I’m still in awe of these two’s costumes. Kim’s wig is perfect which is a difficult style for a wig. Also they have the right props. Just look at their pockets! They have a RUFUS. These two blew me away at Metrocon.

After a small break for Shadocon II (which was AWESOME) and the Thanksgiving Holidays, I come back to you all with a new review on a series that some of you willbe sure to want to “sink your teeth” into. And, by this terrible pun you can probably guess we’re talking more vampires. But, not just ANY Vampires. We’re talking brothers! “Black Blood Brothers”, to be precise. The series (Originally a light novel series written by Kohei Azano and Illustrated by Yuuya Kusaka) follows the story of Brothers Jiro Mochizuki as he seeks out a sanctuary to raise and protect his younger brother, Kotaro, within. However, upon their journey to said safe haven, his brother manages to intangle them in a scuffle between Refugee vampires seeking a new home in the “special zone” and a supression team whom has been sent by the Coffin company to hunt down a dangerous threat to both man and Vampire that may be in their midst: A kowloon Child.

Kowloon Children are Vampires whom are both hated and despised by both side of the spectrum due to their terrible means of production. Unlike other vampires, simply being bitten by a Kowloon child transforms the victim into a Kowloon child. It doesn’t matter if they attack human or other vampires: All are converted by the bite… And, did I mention that the Kowloon suffer from a feral and insatiable bloodlust that never seems to be qualled? Ten years prior, Jiro fought alongside of the humans and other vampires to destroy this menace in a war that took place in their stronghold of Hong Kong, earning himself the nick-names such as “the Silver blade” and “kin killer”. The war was won, but there was much loss and a high cost to himself that was paid; brought about by the treason of a once dear friend.This eventually leads us and him down his path to seeking out safety for his brother and, ultimately, to the main story from their in which they find aid from characters such as the human “comprimiser” named Katsuragi Mimiko, the reincarnated dragon king Sei, and a much more.

It’s an interesting series that begins nearly each episode with the revelation of some scattered bit of Jiro’s past. It’s only by the end of the series that you suddenly get what the truth of Jiro’s intentions are and why it is that Kotaro is so important to him. But, the voice acting is pretty good and the story isn’t half bad at all. Truthfully, it’s not one of my all time favorites, but it’s well worth watching if you have the time or if you’re a vampire enthusist. Best part is light does damage and NO ONE sparkles!!! So, in short, I give this one a 7 out of 10. And, I recommend that you all go ahead and take a “bite” on into it.
