EXP Con 2010

EXP Con 2010 has come and gone, and it was yet again another great year! So much fun was had by all, the guests, the con goers, everyone! I’m still elated from all the fun and excitement of the weekend. Hopefully work won’t be a buzzkill (but I doubt that would happen). Expect a nice, lengthy con report sometime soon, but for now, it’s time to put EXP Con 2010 into the books as another great con.

I want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out to see us this weekend. We had so much fun getting up on stage and looking like idiots for your entertainment. We packed room after room all weekend long, and we appreciate all the kind words and encouragement that you gave us. We can’t wait to do it again next year.

And of course, ShadoCon is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see you there!

Countdown to EXP Con!

One of our favorite cons of the year, EXP Con 2010, about 11 days away! It starts Friday, October 8th at the beautiful World Golf Resort in St. Augustine. Here’s what aniRAGE has planned for you for the weekend!

  • Whose Line is it aniRAGE?
  • aniRAGE Presents: Anime XD
  • aniRAGE Presents: MANime!
  • Animebelle’s Fairy Tale Theater
  • Animebelle’s Mushroom Kingdom Masquerade Ball

It’ll be a fun time, and we can’t wait to see everyone there. While our interview plans fell through at Metrocon, we will definitely try again! So if you see us running around with a camcorder and microphone, come find us! You’ll be able to see yourself on aniRAGE TV!

Also, our resident artist and camera girl Kayla will be running around snapping your pictures, so come back to aniRAGE.com after the con to see your awesome costumes and see yourself having fun!

Speaking of our resident artist and camera girl, her and our friends Duo and Evey will be doing two panels this year: Cosplay Posing 101 and a Cosplay Photoshoot panel! Make sure to check them out!

As always, stay tuned to aniRAGE.com for more great videos, blogs, and information. We can’t wait to see everyone in St. Augustine next weekend!

Two Days…

Time to roll back the sleves and get the final preparations under way. We’ve had things packed at my house for the last few days, but now is the time to double check items and grab last second needs before we have no chance to do so. God, I am so happy ^_^! Two days left! TWO DAYS XD! Can’t wait to see everyone there and perform in the Fairytale theature! this is going to rock!

t-minus 3 days…

Tuesday, wensday, and Thursday… That’s all we have left to wait for one of the best conventions of the year ^_^! Trying to get through work and get all final preparations completed. Today, I have to find a replacement for my broken Cell (a cheap 15-20 cell would be nice). Also, need to get the house in order so that we don’t have to come home to a mess when we leave on Wednesday. I am SOOOO excited! Can’t wait to see everyone there!

T-minus 7 Days and counting…

One week. That’s all we have left! I hope everyone is getting their costumes finished, their parts learned, and their things packed! We’re hitting the road soon for what I know is going to be an awesome experience ^_^. Personally, I finished Grim Jr.’s Scythe today and have just about everything packed. The only thing left to finish is some minor acessories for the Formal Masquerade and WE ARE GO! In the mean time, feel free to chat with us on the forums, listen to one of Sibby’s PodCast, or check out the “Sweet Links”. I’ll post up hre again when we get closer to the day… Again, I can’t wait to see everyone there ^_^.

S.L.O.T.W. #2 – Electric Boogaloo

Hey guys, Kirby here again, to bring you our next selections of our Sweet Links of the Week!  It’s been a long week for me, but I can say for sure that I’m as impressed with this week’s selection of links as you’ll hopefully be!

And now off to the links!

3-year old gaming future prodigy? – If I were this kid’s father, I’d also be proud!  Our first link of the week brings us a 3-year old gamer who not only freshly out of diapers, but freshly in the gamer chair, showing aniRAGE how much better he is than aniRAGE at Mirror’s Edge.  Stopping only to take juice breaks, we see little Finley’s little fingers working the mouse and keyboard, while dad watches and films on in amazement.  It’s even awesome to see him go around in circles occasionally.  It even impressed Kotaku enough to get him an article on the site, too!

Feeling destructive, ladies?  Awesome! – This link comes to us from a good friend and first time contributor, Eevee! *waves my thanks*  Have any of you ladies ever gotten the urge to destroy your boyfriend or husband’s favorite sports statue or helmet in a fit of rage?  Well apparently, the Chinese have figured out one unique way to quell this destructive urge!  And the best part is that it’s for the ladies only!  For a small fee, women can take a bat and swing at anything on display in the store for 1 minute (Well, almost anything… store employees and walls aren’t allowed…)!

And finally…

For the campfire nerd in a Galaxy, far far away… – watch this, and then watch this, and then laugh while you slowly pull out your credit card to order…

And that sadly concludes our S.L.O.T.W. second posting!  We’re always looking for more links to feature on S.L.O.T.W.  If you have an awesome link or item that you’d like to have featured, don’t be afraid to shoot us an email at aniRAGE@anirage.com and put in the subject, “Sweet links of the week!”

Till next time guys!

16 more days to go!

All of my cosplays but, one are ready and a few cosmetic items are needed to complete the formal Kimono’s for the masquerade. Also, it’s study, study, STUDY! We’re working to make sure we know our parst and this years Kimono fairytale theatre is going to be amazing ^_~. Do drop by to see it if you just so happen to be attending Metrocon this year ^_^. Well, there is work to be done and things to do! Till later, take it easy, everyone!

~Miroku

Twenty-Two days and counting!

That’s what we got till Metrocon! I’m really excited about this ^_^! I hope you all are counting the days down as eagerly as I am! Got a few more things to work out for costumes and some practicing to do for the Fairy Tale Theature, but I think this shall prove most excellent ^_~. I’m CERTAINLY going to give it ny all and all the rest of us here at “aniRAGE!” as well! We’ll be looking forward to seeing you all there!
