Freecon Weekend!
Greetings my loyal minions, it is your most favoritest Zeke here to remind you that this weekend, in the one and only Tallahassee, Florida, is our latest convention, Freecon! The bulk of the group shall be there Saturday, along with our good friends Animebelle, but Dashi and Sibby will be there Friday to rock the Friday night rave!
We have a great Whose Line is it aniRAGE? show lined up for you guys, with a whooping THREE new games to debut. It’s going to be a great weekend, and we hope to see you all there!

Upcoming aniRAGE Appearances!
Hey errbody (that’s hip-hop for “everybody”. I’ve been listening to way too much T-Pain and Lil Wayne, I’m afraid). The next few months have some great stuff in store!
We are about two weeks away from MegaCon 2011! Join Zeke and Kerby has they run amok at the convention, taking pictures, shooting some videos, and hanging out with our fellow con friends. No performances this time around, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be finding some fun stuff to do. Look out for us all three days!
Two weeks after that is Tallahassee’s own FreeCon 20011. We are bringing our Whose Line is it aniRAGE? show there, so make sure to check it out! Plus, we’ll be there with our good friends AnimeBelle and if you’ve ever been t one of her panels before, you’ll know it’ll be a blast.
In May is the newly announced Jacksonville Anime Day. Since it’s taking place in Jacksonville, I’m sure you’ll see us there in some form or fashion. Definitely stop by in the area and bring out your costumes for awesome pictures.
The very next month, we are proud to announce that we will be bringing out cameras to Metrocon 2011! Our own photographer Kayla (and Zeke, of course) have gained Press Badges, so we will be scouring the halls for the best cosplay around. And what would Metrocon be without Animebelle’s own Fairy Tale Theater! Make sure to come check out what will be a wonderful performance. We’ll have more info on this as time goes on, but definitely check out Animebelle’s site for up to date information!
This is going to be an awesome year, and I know that I can speak for all of us here in aniRAGE when we say we want to see all of you there!

Jericho-Con: A Report
This past weekend, I got to me one of my fav-o-rite wrasslers of all time: Chris Jericho. He was awesome. I got him to sign not only his book, but his DVD, both the case and the jacket. Now I get to give it to someone as a gift, and they get to have Jericho’s autograph as well! Yay presents! Speaking of presents, I even got him to “talk to” Kayla through my camera, so I got to bring her home a present too.
The rest of the weekend was a fun hang-out time in Tampa. I got to see the South Florida aniRAGE Crew (SFaC), consisting of Dashi, Sibby, and Shaggy (and Dashi’s girlfriend of course). We had an awesome time hanging out and experiencing some cool food places that I don’t have up here in Jacksonville.
The coolest (both figuratively and literally) was Yogurt Mountain. It is a yogurt bar where you get to pick your own flavor(s) of yogurt, self serve, and add in your own toppings, and then pay a “by the weight” price. They had all sorts of flavors, from fruity sorbet flavors to cake batter and peanut butter. And the toppings, oh the toppings! From cereals to sprinkles to fruit and candy, just about everything you could imagine. Myself, I went with cookies and cream, mint pieces, followed by vanilla with sprinkles and hot fudge. SO. GOOD.
We also went to a local burger joint called BurgerMonger. They take awesome kobe beef and make amazing burgers with it. It’s a little pricey, but damn is it good!
Needless to say, I felt a lot fatter after that day!
Saturday I made my first trip to Ybor City, but it was so packed that Dashi and I decided to try again another day. All we really wanted to do was check out GameWorks, but that’ll have to be for another trip.
Sunday was a fun time, since I got to hang out with a good friend of mine from Orlando, Sam. It’s all her fault that I got super-duper back into Power Rangers and Dragonball Z. She was even the first person to introduce me to Bleach and Naruto, before it was cool over here (now it’s too mainstream ~Hipster Zeke). I even got to meet the dude who created Metrocon and sit around talking about conventions. Was a fun time, and I can’t wait for the next time I get to make a trip down to Tampa.
The next big trip? MegaCon in Orlando! I’ll be there, will you?

This Friday, I will have the honor of meeting one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, Chris Jericho. He will be doing a book signing in Tampa Florida for his new book: Undisputed: How to Become the World Champion in 1,372 Easy Steps.
Dashi is set to join me, as well as two awesome people we met at ShadoCon this year, Jennifer and Gregory. It’s gonna be a damn-fun time, so if you are a wrestling fan in the Tampa area, try to make it by the Barnes and Nobles on Carrollwood. The signing starts at 7, but wristbands for the event will be handed out at 2. Check out This Link for more info!
I plan on getting him to sign the title page, crossing off “Steps” with “armbars”, but we’ll see!
Oh, and as a teaser…3 anirage members will be in tampa. And there may be a video camera involved. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM.

Updates A Plenty
Hey everbody! Zeke here. I’ve been quiet for far too long, so I want to give you guys an update on some of the things coming up for aniRAGE.
Kerby and I recently finished recording the first ever aniRAGE: Live from Earth podcast! We want to make this your new favorite podcast, so after some editing, we hope to have it out soon! Only the best for our loyal minions. Look for it soon, here at anirage.com!
Kerby and I are also planning on going to MegaCon next month! That’s right, aniRAGE is coming back to O-Town! We hope to see all of our awesome friends and fans there. We’ll be taking pictures, hanging out, maybe even shooting a video or two! And, if you are really lucky, you might even spot me walking around with my electric guitar! (Note: I have no idea how to play, so if your ears start bleeding, I apologize ahead of time).
Of course, a couple weeks after that is FreeCon 2001 in Tallahassee. aniRAGE will be there with our friends AnimeBelle for some fun games, some Whose Line awesomeness, and all the great stuff you’ve come to love and expect from aniRAGE. So we definitely hope to see all of you there. And why not, it’s FREE(con)!
Soon Kerby will be making his trek from the Emerald Coast to the First Coast of Florida, and joining Miroku and I in Jacksonville. So you can expect some great stuff once he gets over here. I know we are all looking forward to it! So again, stay tuned to aniRAGE.com!

Fresh off an amazing two hour performance that tore the house down, the gracious hosts of ShadoCon have announced not only the dates for ShadoCon Year 2, but has also announced some of the guests!

Cake: Delicious For Your Mouth and Your Ears! And That’s No Lie.
I’ve always been a quiet fan of the band Cake. I’d listen to their singles on the radio, but I never actively sought out their music.
One day at work “Short Skirt / Long Jacket” came on the radio, and one trip through Youtube later got me hankering for more! I quickly went home and by the end of the night, I had their discovery loaded onto my iPad.
Now I will admit, unlike my past few band obsessions (Chevelle, Rise Against, and Muse), I don’t universally like all the songs on the album. Some of them just aren’t my style. But when I find a long I like…I don’t just like it. I LOVE it!
Their style is very unique, in my opinion. There isn’t much out there that directly compares (the FloBots with “No Handlebars” comes to mind). But here’s a list of some of my favorites, along with a link to listen to the song on the YouTubes, in the order of my current favoriteness.
